In 1992, Burns Philp (South Sea) Co Ltd, a major Australian shipping company in the South Pacific, announced the sale of it’s Western Samoan shipping operations and after lengthy negotiations it was sold to four brothers—Masoe Henry, Afamasaga Daniel, Fanene Mark, and Toleafoa Elon.

With the Shipping Portfolio acquired, Betham Brothers Enterprises Limited (B.B.E) was founded, making it a fully Samoan owned company. Masoe Henry Betham, the B.B.E Chairman at the time, brought with him 22 years of experience managing Burns Philp shipping operations.

Since then, B.B.E has grown significantly and diversified its offering’s to include Port Agency, Ship Agents, Stevedoring, Nationwide Transport, End to End Logistics solutions, Warehousing, Vessel Husbandry, and Customs brokerage.

Today Betham Brothers Enterprises continue to focuse on excellence, under the leadership of the youngest brother Fuimaono Hugo. Since 1992 we have worked diligently earning a reputation as industry leaders in quality and service.
